1. About these terms
These terms apply when an individual buys from ExtolX Limited wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Business purchases are governed by our Business Terms and Conditions.
We are ExtolX Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 17314659. Our registered office is 44 Hillcrest Avenue, Ingol, Preston, England, PR2 3UP. Contact: info@extolx.co.uk.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that the law does not permit us to exclude.
2. Important product restriction
Our peptide products are supplied solely for legitimate laboratory research. They are not medicines, food, food supplements, cosmetics or veterinary products; they are not for human or animal administration, consumption, diagnosis, treatment or household use.
You must not purchase or use a product for an unlawful purpose or contrary to its label, accompanying safety information or our Research Use and Product Eligibility Policy. A website statement does not determine a product's regulatory classification. We will only offer a product where we consider that its sale, presentation and intended supply route are lawful.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18, legally capable of entering a contract, located in the United Kingdom and able to undertake the stated research safely and lawfully. We may request reasonable information before accepting an order. We may reject or cancel an order where eligibility, safety, legality, sanctions, fraud or suspected misuse raises a genuine concern.
By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information supplied with your order is accurate, and that you are purchasing solely for legitimate laboratory research in accordance with these terms and our Research Use and Product Eligibility Policy.
4. Product information
Images are illustrative. Because products are intended as research materials, stated purity, quantity and other specifications are subject to the tolerances or test limitations stated on the product page, certificate of analysis or accompanying documents. A certificate of analysis is not evidence that a product is safe or authorised for human or veterinary use.
You are responsible for reviewing the product description, label, storage information and available safety documentation before ordering and use.
5. Orders and contract formation
Submitting an order is an offer to buy. Our acknowledgement only confirms receipt. A contract forms when we send an order-acceptance or dispatch confirmation, whichever expressly states acceptance. If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you and refund sums paid.
Before placing an order, you will be asked to confirm through the checkout's Terms and Conditions checkbox that you have read and agree to these terms. That confirmation includes the age, accuracy and permitted-research declarations in section 3 and the product restrictions in section 2.
We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before acceptance. If an error is discovered afterwards, we will contact you and will not unilaterally charge a higher price.
6. Prices and payment
Prices and any applicable VAT and delivery charge will be shown before you place the order. Payment options may include Wallid Pay-by-Bank or manual bank transfer to our Starling Bank business account. Availability is shown at checkout. You must use a payment method and bank account you are authorised to use.
Orders paid by bank transfer are not accepted until cleared funds are received and we issue acceptance. Never include health information or intended human-use details in a payment reference.
7. Delivery
We deliver only within the United Kingdom using available Royal Mail services to the address accepted with the order. The available service, price and estimated delivery time will appear at checkout or in our Delivery, Cancellation and Returns Policy. Estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed. We will comply with statutory delivery obligations.
Risk passes when the goods come into your or your nominated recipient's physical possession. You own the goods once we have received payment in full and delivery has occurred.
8. Cancellation
Subject to statutory exceptions, you may cancel an online order without giving a reason from contract formation until 14 days after the day you receive the goods. Notify info@extolx.co.uk with a clear statement or use the model form below.
After notifying us, return the goods within 14 days. You normally bear the direct return cost unless the goods are faulty, misdescribed or we agree otherwise. You must take reasonable care of them and may handle them only as needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. We may reduce a refund for value lost through excessive handling where the law permits.
Any proposed exception for sealed goods or rapidly deteriorating products will apply only where the statutory requirements for that exception are actually met and the product page clearly gives the required information before purchase. We do not use a blanket “no returns” rule.
9. Refunds and faulty goods
We will make cancellation refunds, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, within the statutory period and by the original payment method unless agreed otherwise. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence of return, where permitted.
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for a purpose made known and accepted where consumer law applies. Contact us promptly if goods are damaged, contaminated, incorrect, faulty or suspected unsafe. Your statutory remedies are not limited by this policy.
10. Your responsibilities
You must:
- follow labels, storage, handling, disposal and safety information;
- prevent access by children, animals and unauthorised persons;
- use suitable facilities, equipment, controls and competent personnel;
- not administer, consume, compound for administration, resell as a human or veterinary product, or promote any such use; and
- report suspected defects or safety incidents promptly.
These responsibilities do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Our responsibility
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, breach of statutory consumer rights, or anything else that law prohibits us from excluding.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for business losses suffered by a consumer. Nothing in this clause makes an unlawful product, statement or practice lawful.
12. Complaints and communications
Contact info@extolx.co.uk. Our Complaints and Product Safety Policy explains escalation and safety reporting. We will communicate in English by email or through website account notices.
13. General
If one provision is invalid, the remainder continues. Delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. We may transfer our rights and obligations where your rights are not reduced; you may transfer yours only with our written agreement or where law permits.
English law governs these terms. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under the law applying to them within the UK.
