Purpose
ExtolX supplies products solely for legitimate laboratory research. This policy applies to every customer, including consumers and businesses.
Prohibited uses
Products must not be:
- administered to or consumed by humans or animals by any route;
- used to diagnose, prevent or treat a disease or to modify human or animal physiology;
- used as medicines, food, food supplements, cosmetics, veterinary products or household products;
- compounded, prepared or reconstituted for administration or consumption;
- used in clinical treatment or self-experimentation;
- relabelled, advertised or resold for any prohibited purpose; or
- used in breach of any law, label, safety instruction or regulatory restriction.
We do not provide dosage, administration, cycle, reconstitution-for-administration or therapeutic advice. Customer reviews or other user content making such claims may be rejected or removed.
Who may order
A purchaser must:
- be at least 18;
- be located in the United Kingdom;
- have a genuine lawful research purpose;
- understand the product's research-only status and available hazards;
- have suitable facilities, storage, equipment, controls and competence; and
- provide accurate eligibility information when requested.
The fact that an individual is called a “consumer” for consumer-law purposes does not relax these safety and use requirements.
Verification and refusal
Before accepting an order, we require the customer to confirm through checkout that they have read and agree to our Consumer Terms, including the confirmation that they are at least 18, have provided accurate information and are purchasing solely for legitimate laboratory research. We may apply additional manual checks where an order, quantity, account, payment, delivery information or previous conduct gives rise to a genuine safety, legal, regulatory, sanctions, fraud or misuse concern. We may ask for proportionate information about identity, age, organisation, facilities or proposed research, record the reason for a higher-risk decision, and refuse, limit, hold or cancel an order where the concern is not satisfactorily resolved. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
No effect on regulatory classification or statutory rights
Calling a product “research use only” does not determine its legal classification. ExtolX is responsible for assessing products and presentation before sale and seeking regulatory advice where needed.
This policy does not exclude consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. A customer's breach does not excuse any breach, negligence or unlawful conduct by ExtolX.
Reporting concerns
Report suspected misuse, defects, unexpected exposure or safety concerns immediately to info@extolx.co.uk. In an emergency, contact the appropriate emergency service or poisons/medical service and provide the product label and safety information.
